My name is Karin. I am a 60 year old grandmother. Last week on an over night stay at the beach with my daughter and her family, my son-in-law came into my bedroom and attacked me. He didn't rape me. But touched me in a totally inappropriate way. I am sick about this. I know I have to report it but I'm afraid I will lose my daughter and grandsons. What if she doesn't believe me? I called a crisis hot line in my area and they had to put me on a waiting list to see their councilor. I would just like to talk to people who have been through this.

    Kindness & hugs.
First of all welcome to Fort karekarin, but am sorry to read about what has brought you here. The situation you find yourself in sucks. Understand your fears that your daughter will not believe you when you tell her what her husband sexually assaulted molested you - hope she does...listens to you...lets the investigation run its course before jumping to conclusions.

Agree a month is a longtime to wait for professional support when you are dealing with big stuff like this - if you are interested we have the details of some emergency hot-lines listed under the help tab in our header.
Rest in my arms precious child; cradled and warm. You are safe. The war is over.

hugs and kisses, but mind the feathers please.
    to Fort..

as a 62 yo grandmother and mother I can only wonder at how distressing this must be for you..know it would upset me badly..also know I would be frightened of losing my daughter and grandchildren too.
Like Jane has written I too think having to wait so long is not helpful and that perhaps giving a helpline a ring will allow you to speak to someone immediately..have no idea where you are in the world but over here in the UK there appears to be quite a few 24hr manned hotlines ..hope its the same for you.
Also hope that you can find a way through all this soon...if I may..leaving you some
