Like what sunfl0wer has written - about focusing on our own coping, decision making on our own behalf - treating the others in our lives as self determining adults - not saying that if the person for whatever reason is incapacitated mentally or physically I would not step in to keep them safe but otherwise prefer to treat others as I prefer to be (but were not always) treated - as an autonomous person who has the right to make my own choices, including ones others do not agree with...deal with (take responsibility) for the consequences of these decisions.
