New here not sure where to start

I left my abuser 10 months ago, I walked away from life as I knew it and am so lost. My PTSD is so bad I can't even work. I tried and was so stressed out every minute I couldn't do it. The people near me have no idea what I have been through and therefore keep expecting me to be social I try to explain but but feel like I am talking a foreign language. I need to work both for financial reasons and peace of mind but am terrified of being around people.
Basically, I'm lost. Hope this will help.

    Hi and welcome to Fort!

I've found this site really helpful. The articles in the library ( see above) are both interesting and useful and the many forums are full of people that will know how you feel because they may well have been through similar.
There's no pressure to join in or speak of your past until you feel ready to..maybe a look around and taking your time might allow you breathing space to decide whether Fort is right for you?
Hope to meet you again in one of the many forums
